"I can't remember one missionary who wasn't a successful missionary who didn't have 1 hour of personal and companionship study every day!" Be a 100 watt missionary--not a 30 or 40 watt missionary!! Brother Brown, Branch President of Branch 37, reminded the missionaries that one cannot teach without The Light! Communication between the missionary and the investigator must not take place except by The Spirit--if it isn't there, the message doesn't get through to investigator and no true conversion occurs. So, teach with Power and Authority--use your scriptures and challenge investigator!! All missionaries have authority, but power doesn't come except by obedience, study, prayer, work, etc.!!

Successful missionaries have developed a pyramid of success: (1) Desire to serve; (2) Obedience; (3) Personal Preparation; (4) Hard work; (5) Spirituality; (6) Divine attributes of Christ.
