Sister Ogletree Leaves MTC!!

Bon Voyage, Sister Brittany Ogletree. Our love and hearts go with you. With three suitcases packed to the brim (she was careful not to exceed the 50/40 lb weight limit), Wednesday, January 16, our oldest grandchild and granddaughter, left the Missionary Training Center in Provo after nine full and exciting weeks of commitment to learning, studying, praying and fun (at times). Her sweet companion, Sister Lucero (see photo) left the day before for Spain Barcelona; however, Brittany's visa to Spain has not arrived as yet, so she has been assigned to the California Los Angeles Mission until it arrives. Her spirits were full of anticipation (and some anxiety) in leaving her comfortable 'nest,' sprouting wings and flying solo to California. God bless you Sister Ogletree. Heavenly Father knows you by name and will watch over you. You are there for a purpose!
Of special note, Steve gave both sister a beautiful 'blessing of comfort' last Sunday--he is at his best while using his priesthood authority to bless the lives of others. Few missionaries have a grandpa working as a full-time missionary at the MTC who could perform such a special blessing. We'll miss you terribly but feel it a blessing to have interfaced with you the past 9 weeks. We pray many other cousins will follow your example through the years!!
Thanks so much for taking such great care of Brittany while she was there! She mentioned many times that it was one of the highlights of being in the MTC was having you two there! What a blessing for her to have your love and support whenever she needed it. She will really miss seeing you every day. We are anxious to hear from her. We will let you know as soon as we know something! I'm sure she is enjoying the warmer weather!! We love you guys! It sounds like you are making a big difference to a lot of nervous new missionaries!
Love,
Janie
