Matt (Trista and the kids traveled down for two days from Burley for a quick visit) and Joey just couldn't wait to drive to Provo and visit the BYU campus yesterday, Thursday, December 26. Dad, Matt, Trista, Claire, Curtis and myself accompanied them on their 'great adventure.' They were like two schoolboys returning to their triumphs. Naturally, at the top of their 'hit' list was to visit the new BYU Athletic Museum and Weight Room. Suddenly, Matt and Joey disappeared with the kids (while Dad and I were observing all the Heisman Trophy paraphernalia, etc), and 10 minutes later they walked out of the locker room laden with BYU jerseys, pants, 'wife-beater' shirts, socks, a pair of size #13 shoes, etc., accompanied by a third-string running back. When a football coach approached them, he immediately introduced Matt and Joey stating, "Hey coach, these are some of my relatives who helped me clean out my locker!!!" The irony is the running back is Tongan!! The items were in a big box of 'lost and found' and Matt had the moxie to ask if "they were returned Christmas gifts."
