Missionary Setting Apart-November 4, 2007

Home at last from our two weeks of travels--We loved our visits with two of our sons and families. We realize how old we're getting by our sloooooooow recovery of our body time clocks--two hours difference coupled with daylight savings time has done its damage on our sleep patterns!!

Sunday afternoon, November 4, President Sohm, Stake President of the So Jordan River Stake, with the assistance of his two counselors, President Swenson and President Wahlquist set Steve and myself apart as full-time missionaries assigned to the Provo Utah Mission, specifically the MTC Provo to work specifically with the international missionaries (those who speak little or no English). What a sweet spirit was in attendance. Jen, Gordon and five children and Christy, Marty and two sons plus Linda Herrington were in attendance.

We broke our fast by consuming a delicious roast beef dinner, mashed potatoes and gravy, broccoli, jello salad and Jennifer's scrumptious homemade rolls at the Watkins' home. Once again, we devoured the apple crisp (just can't get enough of those apples). We are so blessed to have such supportive and loving children. We only wish our entire family could have have been present at this special time.
