It's a Winter Wonderland-December 1, 2007
It's a winter wonderland!! Nature decorated our home and front yard with the most brilliant of snowfalls --all 8-10 inches! The early part of our "P" day was spent shoveling out our driveway, so Lola could go to the grocery store for milk and some necessities!! We (I) love it! Luckily, we didn't have to make our trek to the MTC (37 miles) and could enjoy the ambiance and warm fire indoors. There's always plenty to occupy our time, especially with Christmas fast approaching--hours were spent wrapping grandchildren's gifts, catching up on phone calls, cooking, hosting the Larsen's and Watkins' for the BYU vs. San Diego football, visiting with family, etc. Saturday evening was spent enjoying the Community Christmas Concert at Bingham High School under the directorship of Marlene Stanley--it brought back fond memories of my participation in it last year--what a wonderful way to usher in the spirit of Christmas.
Lola,
Tell your family you need a snow blower for Christmas. Steve won't be able to shovel much because of his weakened heart. You shouldn't shovel so you won't look like a body builder.
The snow looks awesome and how great you didn't have to drive in it on that day.
I miss the talks by your fireplace that Steve would prepare for us.
Love ya,
june
Mom and Dad, you look great. Careful on the snow shoveling. Wish we could see you soon. Love ya,
